If you have been reading Chariotz for a while, you will notice things look a little different today. We completely rebuilt the site from the ground up, and we wanted to take a moment to explain what changed and why.

  • The entire site has been rebuilt for speed — pages load in under a second on most connections
  • Cleaner design focused on readability and finding what you need
  • Every article now links to related content so you can keep exploring topics you care about
  • A dedicated team page so you know who is writing what you read
  • Better mobile experience — over 60% of our readers are on phones, and the old site was not doing right by them

Why We Rebuilt

The previous version of Chariotz served us well, but it was built on a platform that was showing its age. Pages loaded slowly, the mobile experience was inconsistent, and the underlying code made it difficult to add new features or improve the reading experience.

Rather than patching what was there, we started fresh. The new site is built as a modern static site — every page is pre-rendered, which means it loads fast regardless of your connection or device. No waiting for servers to respond, no spinning loaders.

What Is New

Speed. The biggest change is one you will feel immediately. Pages load fast. Images are optimized and served in modern formats. There is no bloat.

Design. We cleaned up the layout to put the content first. Less clutter, better typography, and a design that works equally well on a phone screen and a desktop monitor.

Related Content. Every article now includes related posts scored by category and tag overlap. If you are reading about cold air intakes, you will see links to exhaust upgrades and ECU tuning — not random posts from different corners of the site.

Search. The new search lets you find any article instantly. Start typing and results appear as you go.

Our Team. We have always had a team of writers covering different areas of the automotive world, but we never gave them proper credit. Now every article is attributed to its author, and you can visit their profile page to see everything they have written and what they specialize in.

Meet the Team

Chariotz is written by seven people who actually work on cars:

  • Josh Hartley — Editor-in-Chief, covering technology and new cars
  • Marcus Reid — Performance Editor, covering mods, tuning, and going faster
  • Sarah Chen — Car Care & Buying Editor, covering maintenance and smart purchasing
  • Danny Kowalski — Wheels & Accessories Editor, covering wheels, tires, and product reviews
  • Tara Vasquez — Events & Culture Reporter, covering shows, meetups, and car culture
  • Chris Nakamura — Classics & Restoration Editor, covering classic cars and restomod builds
  • Elena Marchetti — Technology Writer, covering EVs, autonomous driving, and connected car tech

Each writer specializes in areas they have real experience with. No generalist content farms, no ghost-written filler.

What Has Not Changed

The content philosophy is the same. We write from experience, we test what we recommend, and we do not waste your time with fluff. If we link to a product, we tell you why and disclose affiliate relationships clearly.

We are still publishing new articles every week, covering the same mix of performance, customization, technology, car care, events, and reviews that Chariotz has always been about.

What Is Coming

We have more planned for 2026. Better tools for finding parts and builds, more in-depth guides for specific platforms, and expanded event coverage. We will share details as things take shape.

For now, take a look around. If something feels off or you have feedback, reach out — we are listening.

Thanks for reading. We built this for you.
